Location Photography: Jeffries v Burton

In this report I am comparing the work of two photographers I am going to compare the work of Lee Jeffries and Adam Burton.

Jeffries is a portrait photographer studying people and emotions his images are very dramatic. Opposed to Burton who is a landscape photographer that takes stunning images of nature.
their styles are also different where as Jeffries takes dark impact images, Burton takes peaceful colourful images. Jeffries also takes portraits head on  where as burton takes his at an angle with the intention of leading the viewer round the image.

 Jeffries takes very real images that allot of viewers can connect or sympathize with where as Burton takes images that are like paradise they look like they belong to a fairytale. Also the way they approach taking the photograph is very different where as Burton uses natural light and has to act quick as nature is constantly moving. Jeffries has the time to consider the angles and lighting of his images and can manipulate his subjects, where as Burton works with what he has and manages to capture the real beauty of nature.

Jeffries turns all his images black and white to give them more impact and help convey the emotion. Whereas Burton has allot of warm colours in his making them stand out and showing natural beauty.

Although they both take very detailed high quality images they are both of different genres of photography but in my opinion are the best of that genre. Overall I could not pic a favorite because I think both of them are amazing photographers.
