The thing about writing reports/essays on people and their work is that you struggle if the person them self does not inspire you. When you are inspired by something you can go on and on and write about it in great detail and enjoy it. Where as if you find it dull and boring, the writing becomes a struggle and you start to sound repetitive, that is when you start to put work off. An example of my own would be my observational drawing essays- I have put off doing them because artists drawings don't inspire me. I like new and bold art, sure some drawings do surprise me or make me say "wow how do they do that." But most are just the same subject matter, its the same drawing just in a different style and that's what I find hard to write about. The irony is that I found it really easy to write about how hard essay writing is.
