Pablo Picasso was born 25th of October 1881 and died on the 8th of Apron 1973. He was a Spanish print maker who was known for painting, print making, writing and sculpting. A print I have chosen to do by him is from the Vollard suite and is called "Young sculptor at work" plate 46. It is an etching from 1933. The lines are very simple ands flowing through out the etching. The sculpture in the etching is very disfigured to that of the sculptor. The sculptor also seems to covey anger and frustration in his face and the sculpture has no expressed emotions. The sculpture is the complete opposite of the sculptor and seems to create a balance of purity and anger in the etching. I like the simplicity of it however the column the sculpture is sitting on has a line across it which I think makes it look messy and rushed.
