Recently we visited the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh and we were asked to do a report on a piece we liked from the Generation exhibition. The piece I liked was called " Our love is like the flowers, the rain, the sea and the hours" created in 2002. This piece is an abstract park which brought the outdoors, indoors. Boyce created trees from fluorescent lights which lit up the dark room which is what caught my eye. I liked the way they lit up the benches and bins showing their vivid colours. The benches were intriguing in their form as they had no back or seat it was just the basic metal structure. The one thing I disliked was the big chain linked fences as they were black and made the park feel like a prison. However overall I liked the uniqueness and colour of it and found it very inspiring.
